Good Day,

Joomla 1.5.x on godaddy hosting, linux.

Compaq Presario - 3gb - Windows Vista - desktop machine.

Installed JoomlaPack onto the webhost Joomla installation and performed a backup.

Backup status is OK - and successfully downloaded the backup.zip to my local machine.

Downloaded and installed into joomla the JoomlaPack Remoting XMLRPC services for JoomlaPack 2.x

Enabled the plugin

Went to admin and enabled RPC.

Downloaded the JoomlaPack Native Tools_2009_3_setup.exe. Installed same.

Opened the desktop icon - in help|about I see version 2.1.3.19

Click the "Add" Icon ... entered a name, URL to the site, login and password.

:( Error - Could not connect to site. The error was HTTP/1.1 404 not found.

- - -

Firewalls is set to allow - and actually sees a few byes.

= = = I'm at a loss.

I do not normally have front-end login.

I'm on the road today, so I don't have Native Tools to look at. :( Watch the "http://" part of the url the wizard does not require it, but the edit screen does (I might have that backwards). Also the url is supposed to point to /xmlrpc/index.php within your site.

adding /xmlrpt/index.php

does not help.

ooh well, bummer.

I've spent all the allotted time I've got on this, I will just continue moving and backing up sites the old fashioned way.

Thanks!
