Hi
I am using joomlapack 2.3.1 and running the backup restore but I get a 3.3Megabyte file which for sure doesn't include my whole site.
I chose the full site option in the backup type.
The last backup I did a few months ago with the previous version of joomlapack gave me a backup file size of 47 megabytes.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Please post your backup log. The file compression isn't that good, something isn't right. :D

The problem is your Output folder location. The Output folder is automatically excluded from your backup to prevent JoomlaPack from trying to backup previous and current backup files. Since you have it pointed to the root of the site, the entire site is excluded. You aren't the first. :D

The purpose of the warning that you get about the default location is not operational, it is a security issue. The backup file itself, in the wrong hands, is a security risk. The default location is protected by a custom .htaccess file, but the backups are safer if stored in a folder above the public_html folder where they are not accessible from the web. Moving the backup files to a different web-accessible folder does not significantly improve the security of the files. If that folder isn't protected somehow, the security would be less.

Please check the last line of your backup log. You have a hidden iframe being called from a Russian server on a non-standard web port. Not to disparage our Russian friends, but that sounds like a problem to me.
