Forgive me to start, I am a noobie with a majority of web design but I think i did something incorrect here. I started the back up of my site and in the middle of the back up it states this.

The databases.ini file is not present in the sql directory, or is not readable. Database restoration can not proceed. Please check that you have extracted and uploaded all the files and that they have adequate permissions, e.g. 0755.

I think I directed the back up into the wrong place, I am not sure. Any help with this would be very grateful. Also, I am online now for awhile so any help today would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

What version of JoomlaPack was the backup made with? This sounds like an early 2.3 version, the bug is fixed in the current 2.3.3 release.

The database.ini file should be in the /installation/sql folder, is it there? Did your site extract from the archive? Are there files there besides the /installation folder?
