Hi,
I followed the steps and tried running Kickstart.php on the host. When I execute the script, it does not open any window. Instead it displays pages of text something similar to this

That is the text of the kickstart.php file itself. Your server is displaying the file instead of executing it. This is a server configuration error. Check your site for an existing .htaccess file, an AddHandler command in that could cause this misconfiguration. If there is no .htaccess file, you need to check with your host's tech support.

Yes, apparently, the host had not enabled PHP and MySQL for the webspace they had allotted.
