I struggled a long time with a configuration file that UNiTE just silently quit on.

Finally it turned out that it was a missing character in the package name.

I don't know if I had any particular environment that made UNiTE abort without any console message and not event create the specified log file.

If this is a general problem and not specific to my environment I would have been helped by a log and/or console message.

Hello,

UNiTE outputs a lot of info in the console, can you please share the command you're using to execute the script? Do you get some output or no output at all?

As I tried to explain, a simple mistake in the package name, caused UNiTE to silently quit. I got the usual "Copyright... This program comes...:" message, but nothing else.

Once corrected, and that was the only change in the XML, UNiTE ran as normal.

So I have no problem now, my point is that I would have expected an error message when the package file was not found.

By default UNiTE is pretty quiet, in order to have a full output on the console, you should append the flags  --debug --verbose to your command
