Hi
I just backed up my site with the latest version and downloaded the file. I need to restore the site (which I've deleted) and the extraction tool only gives me an "Invalid File Format" message. Richt now I've lost the whole site! Can you help?

David

Everything OK!

I decided to reinstall the extractor from your site and now it extracted the file without any problems.

Big sigh of relief :-))

@iamalive This usually happens if you try to extract a backup archive taken with Akeeba Backup 3.1 or later using an older version of Kickstart or Akeeba eXtract Wizard. We suggest using only the latest Kickstart and Akeeba eXtract releases.

@FreeThinker Which version of Akeeba Backup did you use to backup your site and which version of Kickstart and Akeeba eXtract Wizard did you try using?

Hi Nic,

The Backup was made with probably an older version, prior to 3.1.5.

The kickstart and Extractor I used, were the latest versions on website.

Cheers

*P.S.- really need to extract this file

You can try one of our older Kickstart versions or Akeeba eXtract Wizard ;)

Hi Nicolas
You are quite right - I had an older Version of the Extractor. as soon as I'd installed the new version, it went as smoothly as always.
Thanks a lot

Great news guys! It's important to have the correct Kickstart version for each version of JoomlaPack / Akeeba Backup:
- JoomlaPack 2.4.1 -- Kickstart 2.4.1
- Akeeba Backup 3.0 - latest Kickstart 3.0.x
- Akeeba Backup 3.1 - latest Kickstart 3.1.x

Another combination which so far works is Akeeba Backup 3.0.x with latest Kickstart 3.1.x
