#3690 Remote Control 4 Beta Error

I am currently unable to use the backup feature i get an ajax error each time in try and backup, also the sae log function just saves a blank file so i had to use a screen shot



I am using the latest akeeba core beta and its on 2 sites i tried it.

Can't replicate this. I think that you have a configuration error.

First make sure that the "Enable front-end and Remote Control" is set to Yes and you have typed in a Secret Key in Akeeba Backup's "Component Configuration" page and that you clicked on Save after doing these changes.

Make sure that you have no .htaccess rule blocking Remote Control from accessing your site. Also make sure that your firewall and/or antivirus allows Remote Control to access your site.

Back in Remote Control, edit the sites and make sure that the URL is "http://www.yoursite.com" (no trailing slash, nothing else added after your site's domain name and directory) and that you have typed in your Secret Key. The Secret Key is case sensitive. Then click on the Get Profiles button. If you get an error, send me a screenshot of that error. The one you pasted above gives me no clue other than you get a 500 error, which is a server-side error.

Can you end me a PM with your site's URL and Super Administrator login? It's definitely something on the server side and the only way to find out what is to have access to your site so that I can step through the JSON API code.
