Hi,

After updating to the last version of the program, I can't extract my archives.

I have this error message : "Could not create installation /folder"

Any idea to fix this ?

Thanks,

JD

This sounds like a permissions error. The /installation folder would be the first thing out of the archive. Please check the permissions on your target folder.

Which platform are you using? Windows, Linux, Mac OS X? Where do you try extracting the archive? Your desktop, a directory in your My Documents or home directory, directly to a subdirectory of your local server?

As Dale said, this is most likely a permissions issue. Try extracting to a directory which has known full writable privileges, e.g. a subdirectory of your My Documents or home directory. Trying to extract directly to the local server's web root or one of its subdirectories won't work.

Hi,

I use MAC OS X.

I try to extract my archives on my desktop, like before with the previous version of Akeeba Extract Wizard, and I never have one problem before updating to 3.06 version.

Please uninstall the application and install version 3.0.7 published yesterday. I have tested this version on Mac OS X Snow Leopard running on my MacBook Pro and it works perfectly.

Hi,

Thanks for your support.

I just uninstall my previous installation and update to 3.0.7.

But I still have the error message.

Sorry, I can't reproduce that on any other Mac me or someone I know has access to. There seems to be an incompatibility of Titanium with your Mac. I have no idea why, it's not something I have seen before. I'm sorry :(

All I can tell you is that you can still extract archives locally. Just install MAMP and use Kickstart.
