It could be nice to see the last backup date.

Because if my computer was not opened for 2 weeks and my backup is scheduled weekly, I can see with the Akeeba Remote Control the last update date.

In that case, Akeeba Remote Control would start to backup your site within 30 seconds after launching the application.

That said, showing the last backup date would be limited to showing the last time a backup was attempted with Remote Control. What I am going to add, however, is remtoely getting and displaying the list of backup attempts directly from your site (something like the Administer Backup Files page of the component). This feature will also allow you to download and/or delete backup files from your server.
