I have read the page about Remote Control and the documentation too. Version number , Windows XP Pro 32-bit, Akeeba Backup version 3.2.4b.

Remote control backup of our production site is fine. However, we have a backup server running that must have some different config because we're getting an error.

Sorry for the late reply. The notification of your post was caught in my spam filter.

Are both sites hosted on the same server? If yes, you have to backup and download each one of them separately from the other. Otherwise, the server protection kicks in and shuts down your access. If this is not the case, be advised that I am working on an alternate download method which should work much better on certain hosts.

No, the sites are on two different servers. Like I said, remote works great on our production site, but for some reason it's kicked on the other one. Any other thoughts on why it's happening so we can troubleshoot? Thanks,

First, let me reiterate something: A hosting account is different than a server. The two sites may be hosted on different user accounts on the same hosting company and, therefore, placed on the same physical hardware server. In this case, what I said above still holds true.

If they are on different physical server, try taking a look at your PHP error log and Apache's error log around the time you got the error message in Remote Control. There should either be a PHP error (unlikely) or an error logged in Apache's log. That message will tell us what went wrong.
