Hi all about a month ago i updated my akeeba remote control software to 4.0.3 to fix a confiruation.php restore issue im able to restores sites now but im finding that the software will close sometime in the night after one backup or not.
like this morning my main server backed up but not the second backup server so i got into the pc with the software and it was closed as soon as i opened the remote control software it backed up the second server this issue started about a week ago now and is becoming a pain now.

Any Idea's

This is one of the numerous bugs in the Titanium Desktop runtime on top of which ARC is built. Due to this and many, many other bugs that are beyond my reach (they are not in my code), I am going to pull the plug on Remote Control.

It's best to go back to 2.5, unless you have a Joomla! 1.6 site.

The restoration is a completely different story. The restoration is affected by the Akeeba Backup release on your server, not the backup method. If you use the same Akeeba Backup version, the result during restoration will be always the same :)
