Greetings to all,

I have 3 sites and I use the Akeeba Backup on 2 of them.
The 3rd site I can't use because of the error in the attachment file.

Can anyone help me?
I use Joomla! 1.5 with JomSocial 2.0.6 and Joomfish 2.1.3

The server's database connection died unexpectedly. There's nothing you can do about it except for switching hosts or trying to backup your site on your server's off-peak hours (this can only be determined by trial and error).

Nicholas,

First of all, thank you for your quickly reply.
Second, I'm sorry about my English. I'm Brazilian and my English is not so good...

The 3 sites that I have are at the same host provider.
The other 2 sites I can use the Remote Control normally, just this 3rd I can't. The difference between this with the others sites is the JomSocial and Joomfish component.

There is a small chance that one of your system plugins tries to write to the database when Joomla! is shutting down (right before it returns information to the Remote Control application). On many hosts, the database connection has timed out and an error occurs. The error doesn't come from Akeeba Backup (we are aware of this possibility and work around it), but from the other plugin.

The only suggestion I have is editing your Akeeba Backup Configuration to make each backup step last less. This will make the backup dead slow, but it might help with the problem you have. The suggested settings are:
- Minimum execution time: 1 second
- Maximum execution time: 3 seconds
- Bias: 50%

Nicholas,

I did just like you "said" but I still can't to backup my site using Remote Control. The alternative are made the backup using Akeeba Backup component on Joomla Administrator.

I think that you just need to adjust the URL to your site when using JoomFish and have SEF turned on, i.e. http://www.example.com/en instead of http://www.example.com so that JoomFish can pick up the default language and allow Akeeba Backup's front-end to load.

Hi Nicolas,

Tnx for thr fast reply...

I don't haf SEF on and i tried with /en, but no success.

I add the error file.

I get the error when ARC wants to include the installer.

Efcharisto...

Please go to Akeeba Backup's Configuration page and try setting the minimum execution time to 3 seconds. Then, retry backing up with ARC. Does that help?
