Hello,

I am running the latest version of Akeeba Backup 3.2.7 across multiple sites on the same sever.

For some reason 1 of my sites is giving me a "JSON Decoding Error" when I try adding it to the remote control ?

Also this site that has been effected doesn't seem to have the "Akeeba Remoting XMLRPC services for Akeeba Backup 3.x" Plugin ?

I have tired uninstalling it and re-installing it but it still giving me the same problems.

Other sites I've been backing up off the same server with no problems have the "Akeeba Remoting XMLRPC services for Akeeba Backup 3.x" or the version 2.x plugin but this 1 site is missing both.

I can't seem to find it anywhere or know if that is the cause of my problem.

Since you're using Akeeba Remote Control 4.x you do not need the plugin; the plugin is only required when using Remote Control 2.5. That said, go to the affected site's Akeeba Backup control panel, click on the Component Parameters and make sure that the "front-end and remote backup" option is set and that you have specified a secret key.

If you are using sh404SEF make sure that you are using the latest version. Earlier versions would incorrectly route Akeeba Backup's JSON API URL causing the problem you experienced. If you still run into trouble, please send me the URL to your site, Super Administrator login information and a link to this thread through a Personal Message so that I can take a look.

I'll be upgrading the sh404SEF later and I'll let you know the outcome.

I'm feeling confident that should solve the problem as the other sites are using the latest version of sh404SEF and the problem site is using a older version.
