Hi Nicholas.

Remote Backup release 4.0.8 finally got mature, great piece of work Nic thanks for cracking your brain on this one. It runs like a charm and finishes its task whit the speed of light (no matter what file size), which i have not seen in all previous 4.x versions. No more random fails when downloading to the remote PC. To bad it can't be rated on Joomla! community so i do it here. Excellent job, both thumbs up for this five stars worth piece of software.

Regards, Z. ;)

A big thumbs up has to go to Johan Janssens, the lead developer of Joomla! 1.5 and Nooku Framework and one of the most awesome Free and Open Source Software developers. The release blocker for the stable release was, as you know, the download code. While we were having dinner at the Dutch Joomla! Days, we began discussing Titanium development. I told him about the problem I had and he suggested I should use Worker threads to let the download be handled more efficiently without blocking the interface. Well, that was the case breaker! Once I got down to coding it, everything fell into place and the rest was very easy.

That's why FOSS rocks. The collaboration between developers is the ultimate solution to any coding problem imaginable!
