I may have stumbled on a possible bug in error checking caused by stupid human error on my part.

When adding a new site "galleryofflowers.org" I incorrectly added it as "galleryofflowers.com" and clicked get profiles at which point the program became a web page with an unclickable link to "The domain com.akeebabackup.remotecontrol is for sale. call BuyDomains.com at 781-839-7903 of come other number..." and I had to close the program. When opening Remote Backup again, all of my sites were gone and I had to start over. This happened a couple times before I realized what I was doing wrong and what was happening, like I said, stupid human error(me!), lol. I then attempted to add a different incorrect domain to see if the same results would happen, but the error/problem seems specific to adding "galleryofflowers.com". I have since added the correct site and have backed up my config info just in case I start being a stupid human again, but I figured you may want to know this happened.

if you add the site "gallerofflowers.com" with any secret code, the results are repeatable - BACKUP your config files. Mine were at %APPDATA%\Titanium\appdata\com.akeebabackup.remotecontrol (found in the instructions)and I can recover the data properly.

By the way, I love the program, and hope this helps you make it better.

What you describe is impossible. If you do not add the http protocol prefix to the URL of your site, it won't accept it and it won't let you click on Get Profiles. I am not sure what you did and how you did that, but that's not possible when I tried it. Could you share a screencast with us showing exactly how you achieved that? BTW, if you are using Windows Vista (I can't really tell by the screenshot), the Appcelerator guys told me that Titanium doesn't really run very well -or at all- on that platform.

Sorry, I should have said that I included the http://. The problem stemmed from my typing in .com instead of .net - the site that it was pointing to was wrong and caused the error. OS is Windows 7. As I have it working now, I'm not all that interested in making a screen cast. On another note, don't ever say something is impossible. Every time I ever here that, someone has made an assumption that's wrong.

That's true, unless it's something that the code doesn't allow you to do ;) In this case, even though the code does check for incorrect domain names, the way Titanium Desktop works didn't allow it to properly recover, causing the issue. We have pretty much discontinued Remote Control due to such issues which are beyond our control. We will rewrite it from scratch, a process which will take several months.
