Hello,

I have a problems with some of my websites. Backup with remote control works as normal. But when it wants to downloads it stops. There is no message about an error. And the backup has been removed from the website. It does not make a difference if the backup if a few mb's or more than that. Other websites works fine.

The backup I'm trying to make and download is from a Joomla 1.5.23 installation, with abkeeba core 3.2.7

I have a linux debian squeeze server with suphp.

Thanks, hope you can help me with this one.

According to the log file, the backup archive downloaded. However, I see it only lasted 1 second, so I guess you're right, it isn't really downloaded. What must have likely happened is that the server denied the download without returning an error HTTP header (e.g. 403, 500 and so on), misleading Remote Control to believe that the download was successful. I recommend downloading your backup archives from that site manually.

Hi,

I have that problem as well. It happens regularly with different sites at different times and not always. Most of my sites are on the same server with more or less the same setup. I have found a common factor yet.

I know. I am thinking of ditching the Remote Control app in favour of a command line tool, written in PHP, which can use FTP/FTPS/SFTP to perform the download. Doing that with a cross-platform app seems to be a tad more difficult to accomplish than a manned mission to Mars :(
