Is Remote control compatible with version 1.6 of Joomla???

Of course it is! Remote Control simply communicates with the Akeeba Backup component. It's the component which does everything. As long as Akeeba Backup runs on your site (it is 100% compatible with Joomla! 1.6) Remote Control can work with your site. Just make sure that you're using Akeeba Backup 3.2.7 and the latest version of Remote Control to avoid any past issues which were resolved in the latest releases.
