I think there may be a problem with the two-factor authentication for my account on your site.

Using lastpass, I logged on and was advised to enable TFA. It was enabled and I even have emergency codes. When I looked at my profile, there was a button to click to enable it. Apparently LastPass "remembered" the last TFA code I used, entered it and it let me in.

Do I start over and re-implement it after deleting the TFA for akeebabackup.com from Google Authenticator?

I read a bunch of tickets about TFA. I'm beginning to think I am better off using YubiKey on my Joomla! sites?

You must be a very patient guy. I've read some tickets where the ticket writer makes assumptions about some significant issues and I don;t see how they reached some of the conclusions they reached.

Yes, correct.

Absolutely. Google Authenticator needs precise time syncronisation on your server and your device. If they drift apart over 30-45 seconds you are effectively locked out. YubiKey doesn't have this issue and it's easier to use.

My hairline is thinning, my facial hair turns white and I'm just shy of 34 years old. I'm also pretty much addicted to nicotine gums (at least I quit smoking). Doing support can have an adverse impact to one's well-being, that much I can tell you after 8 years of doing tech support :D

ROFL. Just wait until you creep around to my age (63). No response needed.
