Akeeba Staff
Hello Vicky,

regarding the first issue, I need the backup log in order to understand what's happening.
However, the second issue is more urgent, otherwise you won't be able to use Akeeba Backup.
Most likely it is a permission issue, please change the permissions of the media/com_akeeba folder (and all of its contents) to 644. If you don't know how to do that, please contact your host: he will help you in this task.
