Is Akeeba Backup for Joomla compatible with Amazon Cloud Drive for remote file storage?

Kind Regards

Hello Maryann,

Unfortunately not. Amazon Cloud Storage only allows you to store media files (photos and videos), not arbitrary binary files like backup archives. You need to pay them for Amazon S3 storage instead. The idea behind Amazon Cloud Storage is that you trust all your media life to Amazon and they make sure that you can only get access to it through Amazon products, therefore forcing you to be a client forever. That's how you get to pay for the "free"storage.

Alternatively you can use Dropbox, OneDrive or Box.com with Akeeba Backup. All of these services have a free tier which may be enough for your needs.
