We currently use Kunena Forum, however we'd like to move to a ticket system. Does Akeeba Ticket System has a import option to import all Kunena forums and posts?

Also, we liked the DocImport Integration and it is something we are looking forward to implement, however we are not familiar with the DocBook XML format. Can you please provide a sample or the DocBook XML of one extension you own? Most of the tutorials I found was for a DocBook Article instead of book.

I understand you do not provide support for DocImport, so I just would like a sample file, so we can start writing our documentation in this format.

Thanks in advanced for your help.

Akeeba Staff
Hello Douglas,

Kunena is a forum. Multiple persons can reply on the same thread without any of them being necessarily a member of the support staff. Forums are more geared towards generic discussion and peer help.

Akeeba Ticket System is a support ticket system. Each ticket is only meant to be replied to by support staff. Other random people cannot barge into the conversation. Ticket systems are more geared towards providing "official" support to users.

Since they are so different we cannot have a good, generic import feature between the two systems.

Regarding DocBook XML you can take a look at Kickstart's documentation. Editing XML directly is a major pain, though. We recommend using XMLmind DocBook Editor instead. It's a mostly WYSIWYG editor for DocBook XML documentation files.
