Hello Malcolm,

If Magento is installed in a subdirectory or subdomain of your WordPress site you can of course back it up using the standard features of Akeeba Backup Professional (include extra directories and add-on databases).

If you have a standalone Magento site you can use Akeeba Solo which can back up any kind of PHP script with a MySQL database. You can use the free of charge Akeeba Solo Core version to see how that works.
