Hi Nicholas,

Am I correct in noticing that the docs on the WP Admin Tools are a tad out of date?

There is, for instance, talk of a geolocation feature which is no longer provided (a shame, but I noticed geo location has become a bit messy so not that surprising).

I'm basically going through the whole document right now setting it up so it's quite noticeable :).

While I am on this topic, could I suggest that purely to prevent too much support enquiries you make the resulting full URL visible below the "Change admin URL" feature so that someone at mysite.tragic.com setting "banana" as their admin URL will immediately get a heads up that their login URL will become mysite.tragic.com/banana the moment they save this (or show the site URL before the magic word so what they fill in shows the full URL).

I too have had moments when there was too much blood in my caffeine, so a small hint is always welcome 😋

Cheers, P

Thank you about the info regarding GeoLocation, it will be removed in the next documentation update cycle (next release of the software).

Regarding the change admin URL, we will consider it but I can't promise it. I need to make sure that WordPress would give us the site URL reliably, especially on multi-site configurations. Out of the top of my head, I seem to recall that it would only give us the URL of the current site which might be misleading on multi-site configurations as each site would be on a different path, subdomain or even domain. Even if this is not the case, the question then becomes do we show every possible login URL (which might be in the hundreds, making the page hard to navigate or way too slow to be practical) or do we have a different behaviour than single site installations? The devil is in the implementation details.
