Hi,

When installing Akeeba 3.0 pro I get the following error message. This occurs with a clean install and also if installing over 3.0 core.

Akeeba 3.0 Core installs with no errors

Looking for help

I turned the ftp option off in Joomla! global configuration and installed from a local folder. Akeebe installed OK in 2 seconds. (Previous try from local folder with ftp took forever and triggered the errors mentioned).

Appears the the ftp file handling creates time-outs during a large installation

I'm not sure this was an ftp layer problem. It may have simply been a difference in server load between the various tries, Akeeba Core, Akeeba Pro and Akeeba Pro without ftp.
