I really don't understand why the link in the email appeared broken. I just retried it and it led me to that page? I assume it had to do with caching. For good measure, I disabled caching on the site. If you don't mind, you can retry clicking on that link in the email. It should redirect you to the page I pasted in this reply.
Please note that there is absolutely no mailing list. It's more than likely that you have a dev or forgotten site somewhere which is trying to send out that email. You wouldn't be the first person to have that issue. A month ago I had a similar case. After some hunting, we figured out that the client had transferred his site to a new host, but the site on the old host wasn't removed or deactivated.
