I had installed lastest backup pro on site running on one.com. The parameters do no longer work with the new version, as per your advise. I restored older version and all is fine. Can you let me know what the new parms should be for your latest version so I can test it?

Hello Abraham,

to really understand what's going on (and why it is failing) I need to have the log of a failing backup.
Moreover, can you please post here the params you are currently using?

Sometimes Joomla forgets to copy all files.
Please install Akeeba Backup twice in a row, without uninstalling it, that should fix your issue.

Hi, installed twice, still same issue. What else can we try?

Please try creating a new backup profile and retry taking a backup with that profile. If that still fails please do send us the new backup log.

OK, now I am 100% sure what I'm seeing in the log. It tells me that you are missing some Akeeba Backup files.

First, let's see if that's because of a known Joomla issue. Sometimes (about 1 in 20) when you are updating a component and the new version has a different folder structure than the previous version Joomla forgets to copy some files. The direct result of that is that you end up with a broken installation. Please try installing Akeeba Backup twice in a row, without uninstalling it before or in between the installations. This will address this Joomla issue.

If this didn't work or if it only worked temporarily you have a host process or a script on your site which is deleting files. It's definitely not a new thing. Please read our article from December 2013 for more context. In this case you should check if you have installed any such script yourself and, if not, ask the host to take a look.

Having hundreds of clients hosted on one.com I suspect the problem is the former (Joomla issue on upgrade). Please let me know how my suggestions turned out for you.
