Hi Nicolas

I cannot attach a log file as the backup does not get that far to create one. This is a development website which will eventually run on a subdomain. The subdomain, it.doxadeo.org, currently hosts the old Joomla 3x website, and later this year I want to replace it with the new Joomla 4x website. However, updating from older J4 versions to new ones (now J4.2.7) always worked, but not today. I get this error message when I open Akeeba: COM_INSTALLER_MSG_INSTALL_WARNINSTALLUPLOADERROR

I need to backup the site before updating to J4.2.7 and I cannot do that.

Any ideas?

Take care,

Francois

Akeeba Staff

Hello,

installation is performed by Joomla, Akeeba software doesn't have any chances to run. There could be some server configuration that is blocking the upload, I'd suggest to take a look at this page of the docs for some workarounds in these cases: https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-joomla/installation-updates-upgrades.html#idm139830634724032
