EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

We are just moving to Joomla 4 and we have set up Cron CLI jobs to run automated backup.

When we check the CLI folder on our Joomla 4 system the Akeeba Backup php file are not there. Neither are the other Akeeba components files??

Have I missed something in the set up of Akeeba Backup under Joomla 4?

I have attached screen shots of cli folders from Joomla 3 and Joomla 4

Apologies  I think I have found the issue.

The Backup function under Joomla 4 is different .

Use ......../cli/joomla.php akeeba:backup:take

It will teach me to read the manual !!!!!!!!!!!

David

Exactly :)

Please remember that for your convenience we've added this information in the Schedule Automatic Backups page of the component itself.

Also, don't worry too much about missing this. A lot of our users got confused with the changes in the CLI backup scripts. It's not just you. And it's totally understandable! The change to Joomla 4 was massive, not just for the core Joomla itself, but also for the very few of us 3PDs who converted our software to natively use the new Joomla 4 API — we were the first, and I even wrote the missing developer's documentation to help other developers get there.
