EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Hi, I am in the process of updating from Joomla 3.10.12 to 4.latest. In this process I added the Akeeba Backup pro version 8.1.5 but I get an error while selecting the component after installation, see attachments.

There are no backup log files since I have not backed up the site jet.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

first of all I'd suggest you to update to the latest version of Akeeba Backup 8. Just to be on the safe side, install it twice in a row, in case Joomla forgets to copy some files.

Then you can proceed to the update to Joomla 4 and then update to Akeeba Backup 9.

Hi Davide and thanks for the fast reply.

I did as you suggested and it worked, many thanks.
