I would like to upload my backups to another S3 service (so not Amazon). In my case the Strato s3.
Is that possible?

Yes, of course. That's what the Custom Endpoint option is for. Please check our documentation: https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-joomla/data-processing-engines.html#proc-amazon-s3-new.

Thanks, that indeed works.
I must admit that I had not read that and that I had no idea what "Custom Endpoint" means.
Now that I hover over the field with my mouse, I see the description.
May I suggest that you change the caption to "Alternative S3 Provider"?
