I've been going through and doing the Joomla update to 5.1.0, and have noticed that Akeeba Backup and Admin Tools on many of my sites (I manage 90+) have lost their Download ID. When I look at the Joomla dashboard it shows all DL keys are entered correctly, but if I click on that, neither AB nor AAT are listed in that section. Rebuild doesn't recover them. I have to go to Component | AB/AAT, expand the "Your download ID is missing" then click the link (links are the same color as the text which is hard to use) to go to the DL ID input screen to enter it.

About half of my sites are like this and it's not something I've missed. These 2 extensions are always the first I install, and after installing go to the Enter DL Keys section of Joomla's dashboard. So something is stripping them.

Joomla! manages Download Keys. We have nothing to doΒ  with that. It is literally not in our control, as we have already documented.

Most likely a third party extension messed something up, or you clicked on the rebuild button in the Update Sites, or your Update Sites table crashed.

#1 possibly. #2 and #3 definitely not. I have 90+ sites I manage and over 1/2 have suffered from this.

As I said, this is not managed by our code, it's managed by Joomla! itself.

I have not seen anything like that on any of my sites, or any other client's site. It is something very specific to your sites or hosting environment. However, none of that is under my control, so I can't tell you what could the problem be.

Thanks Nicholas. Probably not the hosting environment or it would be every site, and it's not. It's got to be, as you say, another extension, but, as I've done the Joomla update now and fixed the missing IDs, it'll have to wait till next time (if there is one) and I'll try to analyze what's causing it. Until then, please close this ticket. Cheers.
