Hi,

I'm trying to install Akeeba Backup v10.0.3 to my parent domain (mysite.com) but it is failing with "Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_akeebabackup-pro.zip". This upgrade has already worked on the subdomain (dev.mysite.com) without any issues. There doesn't seem to be any other information about why this is failing. 

I have tried by install selecting the zip file on my computer through 'Upload and install Joomla Extension' and also by extracting the file and copying them to the tmp folder and using 'Install from Folder'. Both give the same error.

Any suggestions?

Can you install any other component on your site? What you are describing sounds a lot like there's an ownership / permissions issue with the components, administrator/components, or media directories of your site.
