I am trying to backup and update my site but it is getting hung up on edocmanviewer. I have tried both using .jpa and zip and both get stuck for well over 30 minutes at that component. Any ideas? Hosted with GoDaddy.

According to the log, the backup ran for about 15 minutes and then nothing is happening. Your device went to sleep, or you were running the backup in a background tab (browsers put inactive tabs to sleep). Since the browser was no longer listening to the connection for the request completion, the JavaScript has no idea this backup step is complete and that it needs to run the next backup step.
Try keeping the backup tab in the foreground, and do not let your device go to sleep.

I tried again not letting my device fall asleep and still it got hung up. I contacted the edocman vendor and he recommended deleting the edcomanviewer folder , backing up, then reinstalling edocman to restore the folder. That worked.
If the contents of this folder are not necessary when restoring a backup, you can exclude them from the backup using the Files and Directories Exclusion page.
