I tried to install a Joomla website backup created with Akeeba Backup Pro on IONOS.
I uploaded Kickstart Pro 9.0.0 and the JPA file and launched Kickstart. I got the error message ‘ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS’.
The problem seems to lie with Kickstart, as HTML files are displayed without any issues.
Are there any suggested solutions?
Do you have a .htaccess file on that site? If so, try removing it.
Kickstart 9 is a PHAR archive. When you access the /kickstart.php URL it will redirect you to /kickstart.php/src/kickstart_web.php. This should still tell your server to load and run kickstart.php, but the rest of the path (/src/kickstart_web.php) will be parsed by the router inside Kickstart to show you the web interface.
