Hi There

We are maintaining a website for a client. We have set up a cron to backup the database during the week and the website on Sundays. These backups are uploaded to Google Drive.

The hosting provider only allows a cron to run for 90s after which it times out. Thus, we have to make the backups manually by logging in.

Is there any other way to make a backup?

This also applies to the WordPress websites we back up to Google Drive.

Looking forward to your response.

Kind Regards

ARNOLD

The backup needs enough time to complete. If you cannot use a CRON job on your server because of the very low time limit you can use an external service to trigger the backup through the Akeeba Backup JSON API. If I had a way to make the backup faster, believe me, I would have before anyone asked!
