Google Drive is completely irrelevant to your problem. It just stores the backup archive. You already got the backup archive to your server, and you extracted it just fine.

The actual problem comes from your host as you can see in your error message:

Uncaught Throwable of type mysqli_sql_exception thrown with message "MySQL server has gone away"

This says that PHP is reporting that your database server closed the connection while we were still sending it SQL commands to restore the database data.

In the Database Restoration page scroll all the way down and look at the right hand side. Set the Maximum Execution Time to 2 seconds before clicking on Next. This will break the database restoration work into much smaller jobs, each one taking 1–2 seconds. Hopefully, this will allow your database server to not disconnect.

Some hosts apply a "hidden" limit on the number or rate of SQL commands you can execute. If that's the case, you will never be able to restore a backup on that host. This applies to any kind of backup that's not taken directly on your hosting control panel, not just Akeeba Backup. If you are on such a server and your host won't consider applying an exception on your account so you can restore your backup your only recourse is to use a different host.

The Manage Remotely Stored Files button is just JavaScript which opens a dialog. There is no database access or any kind of server action. Are you missing some steps there?
