Hello,

This error message first appeared a few months ago but now I feel I should seek a solution please.

When attempting a backup using either manual or cron triggered, I get the following error:

Akeeba\Engine\Archiver\Base:: Installer package /home/********/********/administrator/components/com_akeebabackup/installers/brs.jpa does not exist!

I read this support ticket about installing Akeeba Backup twice to fix and it works for a few days then the error returns.

I have attached the log file as requested.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The file does exist in our package. This means that someone or something else is removing it. Please contact your host. I believe they are doing something idiotic. Some bad hosts automatically delete all .jpa files because they just don't want you to have your own backups. If your host is doing that, there is only one solution: go to a different host. My experience is that the very hosts who do not let you run your backups engage in all sorts of shady practices, from oversold servers to "unlimited" hosting storage which is actually just a few hundred megabytes before they cut you off.
