I am getting a notification that something is going wrong with the update.

I have already read a ticket stating that this was happening yesterday as well.
It indicated there that a DNS or something needed to be adjusted and that this could take 6 hours.

That was yesterday morning, so I am reporting here that it is unfortunately still not working.

Already fixed on our side. If your server does not see the updated file that's a hosting issue.

FWIW I have already updated all of my sites, live and testing, without a problem from four different continents. It's definitely NOT a problem on our side or CDN. However, I have seen too many hosts implementing a transparent caching proxy which OVERRIDES the expiration time (ours is set to 3 hours), resulting in stale data being served for hours, days, or even weeks in some case.

I'm glad it all worked out for you.
Unfortunately, it didn't for me.
Later, I also stopped getting the update notification on websites.
Fortunately, I was able to download and install the package via the XML from the update sites, but that's not how it's supposed to work.

Correct. I removed 10.3.5 from the update XML.

Here's the problem. There is a long-standing Joomla bug. Even when you click Search For Updates it won't work if caching is enabled. Joomla does contact the update server again, gets the fresh update file, updates its database but every further action still references the stale information in Joomla's cache.

Since I can't fix Joomla I removed 10.3.5 from the update XML and will publish a new version next week.
