EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

No, it does not. It does not manage its Download ID. Joomla does. This is not our code. We have nothing to do with it. It's not under our control. It's not part of our software. There is nothing we can do.

You can keep asking me month after month, but this answer will not change for the simple reason that this is the objective reality.

Dear Nic Thank you for your reply. That means that "automatic backup" is a farce. It exists in name only and is not realy "automatic," because I have to manally add the download ID every month. I use software from SP Pagebuilder and Tassos as well, and they too have some kind of a download ID, but I do not have to add them from time to time. On the other hand, their automatic updates do not work well. SP Pagebuilder has to be installed from scratch everytime they have an update and Tassos's components cannot update three in one go. You have to update them one after the other. Five years ago everything just worked, and now, while we expect software to improve, it goes to the can and I have to work harder. After forty years in IT I thought my work load would get lighter. Take care of yourself, Francois Barnard
