Hi, unfortunately it appears the Kickstart doesn't work on my HG VPS.
It should not be a huge issue, as my CPanel is capable to extract zip files. The only issue that it is not capable to handle split zip files. Further more, my computer is not capable handling the split zip/jpa files either. (It seems when I group-extract the files then the process stops as soon as it attempts to extract the index.php file in the install folder.)

1) How do you recommend that I handle the split files as far as I need to use Vista?

2) I am using Amazon S3 for backup storage. Do you know whether I need to use split archive files at all? If not, then the whole issue of being able to handle the split archive files would not be a question. Actually, as test I just dump a 450MB file to Amazon S3 from Akeeba and it went through just passed 120 secs.

Thanks,
Tom

1. Indeed, all InfoZIP-based unarchivers, including cPanel which uses InfoZIP's library, can't handle split ZIPs. I would suggest using our free Akeeba eXtract Wizard 3.1 or later to extract any Akeeba Backup archive files using a GUI interface. It's what it was designed for. Alternatively, you can use PKZIP or WinZIP, which both cost some money to buy.

2. It's not obligatory. If the backup archive can get through without timeouts (and you can download and extract it without any problem) you can refrain from using split ZIP archives.
