Hi,

Just registered for the pro version of Akeeba backup as I think this product is great and will use it a lot.

My only concern is that the password field for any off site storage, Amazon, Dropbox, FTP is in clear text. This is a security issue for me.

Is there a way to hidden the password field or stop it being displayed.

So far, apart for this issue I think it is a grat product

This will be rectified in Akeeba backup 3.1.1, due to release towards the end of the week.

For security reasons which reach beyond Akeeba Backup itself I highly recommend using HTTPS to connect to your site's back-end. This usually involves an extra 50-100$ per year per site to set up and maintain, but IMHO it's well worth the money spent as it ensures that no eavesdropping can occur between your site and your browser.
