I have just upgrade a couple of site and have found on both of them that the UI formatting is not what I suppose it should be
The green back up button is gone just a big "empty" field with the words Back Up now in it"

and the Ajax progression bar id off

Bo, you either had a partial installation (the media/com_akeeba files were not updated) or your browser cached the old version of those files. First try clearing your browser's cache. If this doesn't succeed, extract the installation ZIP file and upload all files from its "media" directory to your site's media/com_akeeba directory, overwriting any existing files in there.
