I am getting an AJAX loading error at the final stage of backup. The problem occurs at the point the files are moved to dropbox. I get a couple files through to my dropbox but then I get this AJAX error.

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:

I've tried adjusting the Part size for split archives to various values between 2 and 20mb but no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated. Setup details below:

Joomla version 1.5.15

Akeeba Backup Professional 3.2.2 (2011-02-12)

MYSQL 5.1.36

PHP Version 5.2.11

My own dedicated server:

PS I'm very exited at the possibility to have CRON jobs backing up my joomla site to my dropbox, fantastic idea thank you!

I can see that the last part of your archive does get transferred, but I assume that this last part is extremely small (in the area of 100-200Kb) so it's not an issue with complete lack of connectivity to DropBox. I see that you have a very slow connection between your server and DropBox, causing a timeout error while transferring your archives to the remote storage. It's best that you set the "Part size for split archives" to 1Mb and retry backing up.

Unfortunately not, I got this error
Stored Akeeba Factory (backend) not found - hard reset

I had already encountered this problem and followed the instructions here here

However having already done that I can't delete the file.

Then switching back to cloud it doesn't work either now. Its up to Last server response 259s ago on backing up the site which hasn't happened before.

Anyway I think I'm gonna forget about dropbox and ftp and focus on the cloud as I had that working. I'll post might latest log there.

Sorry for crossing these threads a bit, I just need to get a solution in place.

Thanks

The error message you mention is not an error message. It is Akeeba Backup informing you that the backup is complete. In the other thread, the real problem was that the backup was crashing due to another issue. Following that advice will, of course, have no effect on your site. Please ZIP and attach the latest backup log file so that I can take a look and understand what the problem is.
