Since I don't know how to contact you directly, I figured I would post this to the forum.

Last night I received a strange e-mail regarding my subscription for your software Akeeba Backup Pro. Ordinarily I would just ignore and delete it, but there were some details specific to my private account that made me think perhaps your site has been compromised somehow.

I'm not going to post the e-mail contents here because of those private details, but if you are interested in receiving a copy of the e-mail, please contact me via e-mail.

Thanks!

Actually that mail had been sent several days ago after a massive issue on a local test server. I apologize for the inconvenience.

OK. For some reason, I just got it last night.

Should I change my password for the site? How did they get the details about my subscription?

The test server is operated by yours truly and lives on a local machine in my office. I was doing a test import of subscriptions from the live site to the test server, as we're planning a migration to a different subscriptions system. The data was imported successfully, but the emails were never supposed to be sent (but unfortunately they did get sent).

Do you have graylisting enabled on your email inbox? That would explain the delayed delivery.

I don't have graylisting.

Did you broadcast anywhere on your site or via e-mail that this event happened? That might save you some time in the future.

:-)

I will just delete the e-mail and not worry about it.

Thanks.

There was a message on our Twitter account about that when we saw this problem happening.
