Hi,

is there a way to utilize other cloud storage services,
such as hosteurope (www.hosteurope.de). It is S3 compatible - but i guess there is no way to change the amazon option to point to a different provider yet?

Many thanks,
Torsten

Please note that the majority of cloud storage providers do use Amazon S3 as their storage back-end but that doesn't make them compatible with S3 by any means. In order to support a specific cloud storage provider we need the provider to have a publicly available API for uploading files and write some code for it. We have found that using S3 directly is far cheaper than any of the other alternatives. So, since the demand is low, I don't see more cloud storage providers being added in the very near future.
