Akeeba Backup 3.2.7 (2011-04-17)
Joomla! version :Joomla! 1.5.23 Stable [ senu takaa ama baji ] 04-March-2011 18:00 GMT
PHP Version :5.2.14
SQL Version 5.0
Host: Godaddy Unlimited
Latest Debug Log is attached.

Still getting the same error:
AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Internal Server Error

I made these changes as suggested:
- Minimum execution time: 1 second
- Maximum execution time: 10 seconds
- Bias: 50%
- All checkboxes left unchecked

Have already sent login info if needed.
Thank you again for your help.

First make sure that you have enough free disk space. I can see that the backup always halts on the same spot, which most likely means that you're running out of disk space. As a rule of thumb, we recommend having 40%-50% of your disk quota free before taking your first backup.

If that fails, try setting these fine tuning settings:
- Minimum execution time: 1 second
- Maximum execution time: 5 seconds
- Bias: 50%

You may also need to click on the Configure button next to the archiver setting and set the "Part Size for Split Archives" to 10 Mb (select it from the drop-down list).

If that still doesn't help, please send me a Personal message with the URL to your site, Super Administrator username/password and a link back to this thread so that I can further assist you.

I had the same problem.
Could it be that a file is too big?

My backup stopped when I was trying to backup the file "video". I excluded this file (have a copy on my harddisk anyway) and everything is fine now.

That could be, albeit not because Akeeba Backup can't back it up. When Akeeba Backup is trying to backup a very big file, there is a lot of CPU, hard disk and memory strain on the host machine. Low end hosts (like GoDaddy) might kill the script which is using so much system resources, causing the backup to fail. High quality hosts (like Rochen) never do that and the backup continues. So it's the combination of resource utilisation and low-end hosts that really causes this kind of issue.

I dont know what is going on now..its like the whole site is falling apart.
Ive decided to move to Rochen...but I need to back everything up and prepare it to move, but all I keep getting are 500 errors.
Its a mess.
Ill sent the info to you Nicolas, and would deeply appreciate any help. Again, my plan now is to move all my sites to Rochen. The low price at Godaddy just is NOT worth the hassles.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Theres something with this godaddy server, I can barely even get into the server via FTP. Can no longer get into the backend, and when I could, I could not complete any actions, they would time-out. Im ready to pull my hair out thanks to godaddy.

user8259
I was finally able to get a backup to complete! And..registered an account with Rochen!

Sorry for the late reply, I took half of the day off (well, it was supposed to be a whole day off, but work caught up with me). I suppose that I can ignore the PM you sent me earlier today?

I just used kickstart on the new host...when i try to access the front or the back end, it downloads a php file to my browser?

user8259
Deleted htaccess, cleared browser casche..and the site loaded. No clue what happened...but...Im able to get into the backend, so all is well.

user8259
Few days ago you (Nicolas) helped me config Universal Ajax Chat through admin tools...and I'm having an issue with that again on the new host. Ive tried to follow the directions in the documentation, but...to no avail. Could you let me know what needs to be added to get it to work, or I can send login, whichever is easier. I have the site moved, and it seems to run well, but there are some things that make me think I have permissions set incorrectly as well.

Thanks in advance for your time.
