Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.2.14
MySQL version: 5.1.56
Host: I am
Akeeba Backup Professional version: 3.2.7

Description of my issue:

Got everything working with the parameters described in the manual and all went well for a while and then it stopped with the following error:

AEUtilAmazons3::putObject(): [413] Unexpected HTTP status
Failed to process file /home/mysite/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-www.mysite.com-20110427-172407.j38
Post-processing interrupted -- no more files will be transferred

I checked and most of the archives made it.

That seems to be a problem with your hosting provider's firewall. HTTP 413 means "Request too large", but that should only happen if you try to upload a file bigger than 5Gb (yes, Gigabytes!).

Things you can try:
- Go to Configuration, click on Configure next to the the S3 option and check the "Disable multi-part uploads"
- Set the part size a bit higher. How much higher depends on the connection speed between your server and S3. Try increasing 10Mb until you get a timeout error (the backup crashes when uploading files).
- If nothing of this helps, please check with your host that their firewall doesn't block repeated requests to the same URL (because that's what's happening when you are uploading a lot of archive part files to S3).

Thanks Nic, this is my server so I will make sure it is not blocking this and run the tests you suggest. I would rather have larger chunks than smaller ones anyway.
