Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.2.4
MySQL version: 5.0.51
Akeeba Backup Professional version: 3.2.7

When backing up using the native CRON script the post processing action to upload the file to an FTP server is not occurring. This works as expected when a backup is run from the back-end. There is only one backup profile configured on this server.

Thanks

I think you are just using the wrong backup profile. According to your log, the CRON backup is using profile #1 which has "None" set as its post-processing (data processing) engine. If you want to use a different profile, please remember to append the --profile 123 (where 123 is your profile number) in the CRON command line as per the documentation's instructions.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, I edited the default profile to have a the FTP post processing action included. As I said the, using that profile with the action set works from the back-end. I did not see anything in the documentation that made it seem that I could not use the default profile for the native CRON script with a post processing action. Is this the case?

Thanks

According to the log, the default profile (the one with a numeric ID=1, no matter what its description is) does not have any post-processing options set.

For fun, I created a second profile with the same setup as profile 1. The post processing is still not running from the CRON job. New log and profile screen cap attached.

Please go to Akeeba Backup and click on the Component Parameters button. At the very bottom you will see an option called "Use Encryption". Set it to No and then Save the parameters. Reload Akeeba Backup's main page. Now go to your Configuration page. At the top of the page it should no read that you're using AES-128 encryption to store your configuration information. Save the configuration. Run the CRON job again. Does it work now?

That fixed it. The backup ran and the file is up on my FTP server.

Thank you
