Akeeba Backup version: (unknown)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:

Dear Nicholas,

I am using your instructions to initiate an automated backup through CRON and i have the following question. After a while when the scheduled task has been completed, i look at the "Administer Backup Files" in admin panel of Joomla, and i see that the backup file has been created with the correct size (same size as if I am backing up directly from Joomla). The email though that I receive from my server says:

Many times:
Resolving www.domain.com... IP.IP.IP.IP Connecting to www.domain.com|IP.IP.IP.IP|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 303 See other
Location: http://www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=backup&task=step&key=*********&profile=* [following]
--2011-08-18 22:32:04-- http://www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=backup&task=step&key=******&profile=*
Connecting to www.domain.com|IP.IP.IP.IP|:80... connected.

Cannot write to `index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=backup&task=step&key=******&profile=*' (Permission denied).

Does this mean something or is the backup OK?

This is normal. It shows that the backup is progressing (the repeating lines with [following] in them) and that it has finished successfully. The very last line means that wget can not write to its output file but, frankly, you couldn't care less. You don't need the backup's response (a stark "200 OK") to be saved. So, all is good and normal :)
