EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue: The componet hangs at 78% or the finalizing stage everytime., acts though as if it is still working as last server response stays under 2 seconds. Please help as i need to move this site.

It looks like the backup is finished and it is getting stuck in the post processing stage, I can't see why. Nicholas will have to look at this. I'll flag it for his attention.

I see that the process hangs in the "Updating statistics" part of the process, right after the backup has finished. This means that your jos_ak_stats database table is corrupt. This is a very rare case and happens on hosts where the database server is not properly set up when you upgrade Akeeba Backup. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling Akeeba Backup.

Very good. That fixed it... i wish i would of tried that days ago.

You're welcome, Shane! This is a very rare issue happening on a very small number of hosts when you're upgrading Akeeba Backup. In fact, that's the only problem I am aware of which requires the uninstallation and reinstallation of the component. Everything else can be fixed without resorting to such extreme measures.
